A 61-year-old Rocky Mount man was hospitalized late Wednesday night after being struck by a car.
Rocky Mount police said Milton Glenn Richardson was walking across the street near the intersection of Sunset Avenue and South Halifax Road when he was struck by 1997 Toyota Camry driven by an 18-year-old woman. According to police reports, Richardson was taken to Nash General Hospital before being flown to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, where he is listed in serious but stable condition.
No charges have been filed. Members of the Rocky Mount Police Department’s traffic unit responded to the accident, and it is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 977-1111 or crimestoppers@rockymountnc.gov.
