A Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools bus was struck by another vehicle Friday afternoon, but none of the 53 students on board were injured.

The bus carrying students from Hubbard Elementary School was stopped around 3:30 p.m. and preparing to turn off Goldrock Road near Thomas Betts Parkway when a vehicle ran the stop light and hit another vehicle that collided with the bus, said Ashley Simmons, chief public information officer for Nash-Rocky Mount Schools.

“No injuries were sustained by the students or the bus driver, and a substitute bus was provided to transport students safely home,” Simmons said. “The bus driver was not charged in the incident.”

The occupants of the other vehicles were not injured in the accident, Rocky Mount fire officials said.

School Bus Transit

School bus transportation is very useful for the School students. This is quite safe for them for their traveling to school. I have gone through this blog and I must say that rash driving and drunk driving are very dangerous. All the car or bus operators should stop doing this for the safety of the students.
