Firefighters on Saturday afternoon responded to an outdoor fire at Rocky Mount Recyclers Inc. at 4778 Community Drive. Nobody was hurt, and there was no damage to the structure of the building, Rocky Mount Fire Department officials said.

Rocky Mount Fire Department Battalion Chief Jamie Vaughan said an outside pile of debris caught on fire, and there was no structural fire damage to the recycling facility.

The cause of the blaze was not immediately available on Saturday afternoon.

“There were no injuries, nothing was destroyed or damaged,” Vaughan said.

The city of Rocky Mount Fire Department and West Mount Fire Department responded to the call.
