Baltimore woman killed in single-vehicle crash on I-95

A Baltimore woman was killed Saturday when the vehicle she was in with her family overturned near exit 138 on Interstate 95 north.

Police, fire and EMS officials responded shortly before 6 a.m. to a one-vehicle wreck in which a tan 2000 Chrysler Town & Country had overturned. One passenger, Mary Griffin, died at the scene, officials said. The 30-year-old woman’s family members – Clifton Eugene Griffin, 70, Joan Patricia Griffin, 70, and Darnell Griffin, 48 – were treated and released at Nash General Hospital.

The wreck is under investigation by the Rocky Mount police traffic unit. No charges have been filed.
