More than 800 students will graduate from the Twin Counties' community colleges this week.
Nash Community College will hold its commencement ceremony for 357 students receiving degrees, diplomas and certificates at 6 p.m. Friday.
The 143 Adult High School and General Educational Development students will graduate at 6 p.m. Thursday.
Both ceremonies will take place in the Brown Auditorium in the college's Business and Industry Center.
President Emeritus of Nash Community College Dr. J. Reid Parrott Jr. has been named the graduation speaker for both events. Parrott served as the college's second president for almost 20 years.
More than 300 students will cross Keihin Auditorium's stage on Friday to become Edgecombe Community College graduates. Commencement begins at 7 p.m. on the Tarboro campus.
N.C. Rep. Joe Tolson, D-Edgecombe, has been named the keynote speaker.
Tolson worked for Edgecombe Community College for almost three decades, serving as director of adult basic education, director of extension and director of the Rocky Mount campus.
