PINEHURST — E.A. “Al” Hunter has been named director of marketing for Buy Sod Inc.

Hunter has eight years service with the company. In addition to his new duties, he will remain its national sales manager.

Hunter previously worked with Belk Tyler department stores in Eastern North Carolina.

Buy Sod is one of the nation’s largest retailers of sod with 30 company-owned or -affiliated turf farms selling a variety of cool- and warm-season grasses.

Hunter lives in Rocky Mount with his wife, Angela.
