SPEAKERS & SERVICES

AGLOW International-RMT Lighthouse will hold its monthly meeting from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the DoubleTree Hotel. The guest speaker will be Nicole Jackson.

Evening Light Victory Church, 1517 Charter Drive, will hold revival services at 7:30 p.m. daily Monday through Wednesday. The guest speaker will be Evangelist Mary Johnson.

MUSIC

Helping Hand Rapture Church of Deliverance, 1428 Memory Lane, will have a musical program featuring Joe Alston at 5 p.m. Saturday.

The combined choirs of East End Baptist Church, 928 E. Highland Ave., will celebrate their anniversary at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Church of God of Prophecy, 900 Wilkins St., will have a gospel sing featuring The Mills Family at 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free; a love offering will be taken.

The Oak Grove Boys will perform at 6 p.m. Sunday at Sharpsburg Baptist Church. For information, call 446-4466.

Southside Baptist Church, 2616 S. Church St., will have a gospel sing featuring The Jenkins Family at 6 p.m. Sunday.

PEOPLE

Red Oak Grove Baptist Church, 6149 Old Smithfield Road, Bailey, will celebrate the 29th anniversary of its pastor, Dr. J.B. Woodhouse, at 11 a.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Norman T. Davis.

North End Missionary Baptist Church, 500 E. Grand Ave., will hold an ordination service for Dr. Ada Gray Pulley at 4 p.m. Sunday.

THEMED EVENTS

Taylor’s Chapel Church will have a barbecue plate sale from noon to 2 p.m. today. Cost is $6 per plate. Delivery is available for five or more plates. For information, call 904-6356 or 446-8104.

Englewood Presbyterian Church, 100 S. Englewood Drive, will have a craft sale and auction from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday. For information, call 443-3127.

St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1151 Winstead Ave., will distribute bags of food at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Greater Mount Hermon Baptist Church, 801 Branch St., will have a food extravaganza program at 4 p.m. Saturday. Donations of nonperishable foods will be accepted.

Temperance Hall United Methodist Church will have a Harvest Day Sale and Supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. and an auction at 7:30 p.m.

Ray of Hope Christian Center, 12120 Fisher Road, Whitakers, will hold its monthly movie night at 6 p.m. Saturday. Refreshments will be served from 6-7 p.m.

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Rocky Mount, 516 N. Church St., will have a Thanksgiving service at 2 p.m. Sunday.

St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1151 Winstead Ave., will have a Senior Citizen Day program at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Mack Battle.

Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 652 Raleigh Road, will hold its first deaconess service of rededication and commitment at 5 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Shari Braswell.

St. John Missionary Baptist Church of Red Oak will have a Thanksgiving service at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Nashville United Methodist Church, 209 E. Washington St., Nashville, will have a free Thanksgiving breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Thursday. For information, call 459-7178.

White’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church will have a Thanksgiving service at 8 a.m. Thursday.

Higher Calling World Outreach Ministries of Whitakers will have a Thanksgiving service at 10 a.m. Thursday. For information, call 437-2727.

Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1281 River Road, Scotland Neck, will hold a service consecrating its pastor, the Rev. Richard E. Petway Sr., as a bishop at 1 p.m. Nov. 28 at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 652 Raleigh Road. The Rev. Willie J. Lewis Sr. will officiate.
