It's that time of year again – when perfectly normal people pay good money to see things they hope never happen to them.

Monsters and madmen fill movie theaters and TV screens across the country every October. Frightening films have been around almost as long as celluloid because many people love to feel scared, even if it's just for a little while.

If you're one of those people, then take a look at this quiz and see how much you know. Just remember, it's hard to recall a movie you were too scared to keep watching.
