Many students from the Twin Counties recently received academic awards or college degrees.

The following students recently were recognized:.

  • Andrew Morales of Rocky Mount recently received the Award of Merit at the 24th annual Multicultural Academic Achievement Ceremony at Southern Methodist University.
  • Andrew Gorham of Rocky Mount recently was inducted into the Chi Beta Phi honor scientific society at Hampden-Sydney College.
  • Robert Harriss of Castalia recently was inducted into the Chi Beta Phi honor scientific society at Hampden-Sydney College.
  • Michaela Lamm of Bailey recently was initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at Appalachian State University.
