The following students recently were recognized for academic achievement:

Andrew Meritt Gorham was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Hampden-Sydney College. He is a graduate of Rocky Mount High School and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert J. Gorham III of Rocky Mount.

Hannah Marie Mayfield of Spring Hope was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Gardner-Webb University.

Lee Brinkley Roberson of the Battleboro community graduated from Clemson University with a master’s degree in plant and environmental sciences.

Joshua Searcy of Rocky Mount graduated from Harding University with a master’s degree in physician assistant studies.

Cory Ilo of Tarboro was named to the dean’s list for the fall quarter at the Kate Gleason College of Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Jordan Weaver of Rocky Mount was initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at East Carolina University.
