Edgecombe Community College’s associate degree nursing students who graduated from the program in spring 2012 scored 91 percent on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses.
Twenty-two students graduated from the associate degree nursing program in spring 2012. These students were the last class of the Nash-Edgecombe-Wilson-Halifax Nursing Consortium, an affiliation of Nash, Edgecombe, Wilson and Halifax community colleges. Each of these schools has shifted to administering its own nursing program.
“There were many changes that these students had to endure with the changes in personnel and the closing of the NEWH as the college transitioned to offering its own programs in associate degree nursing and practical nursing,” said Kathy Williford, ECC’s director of nursing programs.
“I congratulate these students for their outstanding performance on the NCLEX-RN.”
