The Nash Community College Foundation’s campaign to raise funds for students in need to pursue their educational dreams is under way.

“Nash Community College students’ futures are impacted each year by the generosity of our community. As we face difficult economic times and expenses continue to increase, more students need assistance with their tuition, books and fees,” Nash Community College Alumnus and 2012 Campaign Chair Lyn Brown, Providence Bank Financial Account Development Officer said.

For 45 years, students have come to Nash Community College to pursue a degree or develop a skill-set to better themselves and improve the quality of life for their families. During the past year, more than 13,000 full-time and part-time students enrolled in degree, diploma, certificate and continuing education programs at Nash Community College.

Money raised during the 2012 Nash Community College Foundation Scholarship Campaign provides critical resources for need-based and merit-based scholarships to help students on the path to a college education and a successful career.

“More people than ever are turning to Nash Community College to pursue educational opportunities and ensure a solid future,” Brown said.

The Nash Community College Foundation is seeking financial contributions during the 2012 annual scholarship campaign.

Brown and the Nash Community College Foundation Board of Directors invite the community to join in their efforts to make a difference for the students who will ultimately impact our community’s future.

To contribute to this year’s campaign, donations may be mailed to the Nash Community College Foundation, P.O. Box 7488, Rocky Mount, NC 27804-0488 or made online at www.nashcc.edu/gift.
