Lindy Short Medlin recently graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Nash Community College Nursing Program and received licensure from the N.C. Board of Nursing.

Medlin received a bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a master’s degree in School Administration from East Carolina University and taught autistic children for 15 years with Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools before enrolling in nursing school.

During her nursing education, Medlin received the N.C. Pilot Club Scholarship, the Parkview Nursing Alumni Scholarship and the Nash Health Care Systems Scholarship, and was inducted into the Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society.

Medlin lives in Red Oak with her son, Brandon, and plans to continue her nursing career at Nash Health Care. She is the daughter of Billy and Linda Short of Red Oak.
