Members of the Rocky Mount chapter of the Modern Woodmen of America recently helped raise money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Nash/Edgecombe Counties by selling Chick-fil-A sandwiches at the Down East Viking Football Classic.
The event, held on Sept. 29, raised $3,000, including $1,500 from the Modern Woodmen’s home office through the organization’s matching fund program.
The matching fund program offers Modern Woodmen members from across the country the chance to show their support for a community cause, organization or individual in need of fundraising.
Modern Woodmen of America is a tax-exempt fraternal benefit society that sells life insurance, annuity and investment products not to benefit stockholders but to improve the quality of life of its stakeholders – members, their families and their communities – through social, charitable and volunteer activities.
For more information on the Rocky Mount chapter, call James Mills Jr. at 252-955-0206.
