Six students receive O.D. Moore scholarships

Members of the Nash Central Senior High Alumni Association and the O.D. Moore Scholarship Foundation recently celebrated their 39th reunion and anniversary.

This year’s O.D. Moore Scholarship Foundation scholarships were awarded to Amani Boyd-Ware, Patrick Battle, Alaya Reynolds, Quadeshia Batts, Tyler Jones and Anthony Deon Fontaine.

Jimmie Harris is the president of the National Association and Doris McBride is the president of the Nashville chapter.

Chapters are located in Virginia, Charlie Richardson, president; Washington, D.C., Charles Battle, president; Upper East Coast, Doris Wilson, president; and New Jersey, Mitch Moody, president.

Morris Roberson is the president of the O.D. Moore Scholarship Foundation.
