Sisters win top honors in Greenville pageant

A pair of Nash County sisters recently took top honors at a pageant competition in Greenville.

Sarah Wells won the title of Sunburst Miss Greenville on March 10. Courtenay Wells won the title of Sunburst Teen Miss Greenville as well as honors for best attire, prettiest smile, prettiest eyes, best personality, prettiest hair, top model look and most photogenic.

Sarah is a junior at N.C. Wesleyan College, where she majors in religious studies and psychology. She is a member of the Wesleyan Singers and is the worship leader for the Refuge Campus Ministries Club. She also is an Amway independent business owner and active in her church.

Courtenay is a junior at Northern Nash High School, where she is a member of the swim team and the art club. She has been a Girl Scout for the past 12 years, serves as vice president of the Girl Scout Older Girl Advisory Board, works for Nash County Parks and Recreation and volunteers her time in different areas of community service.

Sarah and Courtenay are the daughters of Ricky and Meta Wells of Red Oak. Sarah and Coutenay will represent Greenville at the North Carolina State Sunburst finals to be held in May in Charlotte.
