Rocky Mount student serves as N.C. Senate page

Victoria Leigh Fahnestock recently served as a page in the N.C. Senate.

Fahnestock, a student at Rocky Mount High School, was sponsored by N.C. Sen. Angela Bryant, D-Nash, and appointed by N.C. Senate President Pro Tem Phil Berger, R-Rockingham. She is the daughter of Thomas and Laura Fahnestock of Rocky Mount.

Pages spend a week at the N.C. General Assembly assisting members and their staff and learning about the structure of North Carolina government. They perform valuable duties for senators and their office staff. They attend daily Senate sessions, committee meeting and assist staff members with office duties.
