RMR Inc. will be hosting their third annual Golf Tournament to benefit the Lupus Foundation on Oct. 6.

“Reaching for the Green” will be held at Benvenue Country Club with registration beginning at 11:30 a.m., lunch at noon, putting contest at 12:45 p.m. and shotgun start at 1:30 p.m.

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that attacks the major organs and the immune system. In 2007, Jackie Ward, the wife of former RMR president Ted Ward, was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and Discoid Lupus Erythematosus. This tournament will honor her and the millions of people suffering from Lupus including many who live in Rocky Mount.

This tournament has raised more than $84,000 in two years and has already become one of the top fundraisers benefitting the Lupus Foundation of America Piedmont Chapter.
