Rocky Mount residents have until Sunday to vote for their top six movie picks for this summer’s Lawn Chair Theatre.

The series will kick off June 7 and run until Aug. 16 with movies every other Friday under the stars at the Imperial Centre for Arts and Sciences. The free event includes activities for kids before each movie that are coordinated by the Rocky Mount Children’s Museum & Science Center.

City staff picked 12 options – “Monsters University,” “The Lego Movie,” “Free Birds,” “Despicable Me 2,” “The Nut Job,” “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2,” “Hotel Transylvania,” “Hoot, Fly Me to the Moon in 3D,” “Khumba,” “Escape from Planet Earth” and “Babe the Gallant Pig” – rated G or PG for interested residents to vote on at http://www.downtownrockymount.com/lawnchairtheatre.html.
