On Father’s Day, the Rev. Thomas L. Walker and the Ebenezer Baptist Church honored fathers and emphasized the importance of Prostate Cancer Awareness.

Walker is a prostate cancer survivor and author of the book, “Brother to Brother You Don’t Have to Die of Prostate Cancer.”

In addition to other honors, Walker presented a free copy of the book to every male 12 and older.

Prostate cancer is the leading cause of cancer among men. The cancer kills black men die at a rate 2.4 times greater than all other men, Walker said.
