Braswell Memorial Library staff met for a day of training last month on the subject of assisting the local work force in preparing for employment.

New Adult Information Manager Derrick Flood and members of his department attended the all-day workshop sponsored by the State Library of North Carolina. Master Trainer Margie Ordell led the class, which was held at the library.

During the session, staff created an action plan to promote and provide library services beneficial to job and career seekers.

Activities related to this action plan will be launched in January. In the meantime, the public is invited to inquire about current resources.
