Nehemiah Wall Development Inc. has been awarded a grant to help the Young Moms Connect project in its efforts.

Young Moms Connect is the pilot project of the Nola House Project that works with the Nash County Health Department and other local agencies to assist teen moms and pregnant women with support services for easy health care access, effective local systems of care for pregnant woman and their families, improving health care and well-being and identifying lessons learned to implement statewide the improvement goals for pregnant and parenting mothers.

Elton G. Powell, founder of Nehemiah Wall Development Inc. and program director of Young Moms Connect, also has been designated to provide training and pilot program implementation for local churches to start a Young Moms Connect program locally and nationwide. Young Moms Connect meets with interested individuals from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays at Nehemiah Wall Outreach Ministries at 114 Sunset Avenue.
