The Rocky Mount-Nash County Girl Scouts celebrated their World Thinking Day on Feb. 23 at the National Guard Armory in Nashville.

More than 100 girls and adults attended the event. Each participating Girl Scout troop researched and displayed interesting facts about a specific country. They also had to make a dish from that country to share with every one that attended.

Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the food, fun and friendship, Scouting officials said.

World Thinking Day is held every Feb. 22 to honor Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from all over the world by taking time to give thanks for their international friendship.

Girl Scouts USA is part of a global community, one of nearly 150 countries that are members of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.
