Tunisia Bullock, professional teacher and flutist, was the guest speaker at a recent meeting of the Mu Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International Society.
Although an accomplished musician, her speech was not on music, but rather on organ donation and transplantation awareness.
Tunisia spent eight years of her life fighting kidney disease caused by systemic lupus. In addition, she was on kidney dialysis for more than five years before receiving a kidney.
As a result of her struggle and gift of life, Tunisia is planning a future in the medical field. Her ultimate goal is to become a nephrologist, so that she can help others, who suffer from kidney disease.
After an informative speech, Tunisia entertained the group with a flute solo and an encore.
