Julia Wallace Congleton celebrated her 98th birthday Dec. 22, 2012. A reception honoring Congleton was held Dec. 23 at her home. Prior to the event, she was recognized with a plaque for 87 years of service as a member and mother of the Lilly Of Valley Baptist Church in Everett. Benjamin Wallace, Earl Wallace, Elton Wallace and Gloria Wallace offered a presentation and accolades. Congleton is well-known throughout the community. She is loved, honored and revered by her immediate family and her extended family, which includes dozens of individuals throughout the country. She is commonly referred to as ‘God’s Special Angel.’
