No arrests have been made in the case, and Gent’s family and friends are asking anyone with information about this homicide to come forward. The slaying occurred at 9:10 p.m. May 21 on 1414 Branch St.
Anyone with information about the case can contact Norma Jordan at 406-3385 or Deb Waller at 822-2774.
“We need to capture the two cowards that took this magnificent life from us,” said Norma Jordan, the victim’s mother. “We would also like to thank everyone that supported his family and friends during this difficult time.”
Gent also was known as Man, Manny, Uncle Manny and musically known as “Sunny Red,”
Any contributions and donations towards his headstone will be greatly appreciated and can be directed to Elsie D. Ricks at Gardens of Gethsemane, who can be reached at 985-2265, his mother said.
