The historic Blount-Bridgers House will be the setting for the Edgecombe County Cultural Arts Council’s 22nd annual Great Tarboro Art Bazaar.

The first and second floors of the historic museum will be filled with art from approximately 45 local and regional North Carolina artists, including a number of returning and new artists.

This year’s Art Bazaar will include art work such as textiles, pottery, woodwork, paintings, photography, crafts and holiday-themed gift items.

The Great Tarboro Art Bazaar will open for a members-only preview party from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Arts Council members are invited to preview the exhibit and take the opportunity to purchase their favorite pieces of art before the exhibit is open to the public the following day. During the members-only preview party, Arts Council members will not only enjoy the wonderful art work, but they will also enjoy refreshments, appetizers and music from the Chambergrass Duo.

The Great Tarboro Art Bazaar will open to the public on Friday and run through Nov. 29th. The hours to view the Art Bazaar are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

Membership in the Arts Council is tax-deductible and begins at levels as low as $15. For more information, call 252-823-4129 or email edgecombearts@embarqmail.com.
