Students and parents enjoyed a night of learning and fun together at Swift Creek Elementary's Math Night.

Contributed photo Swift Creek Elementary School in Whitakers recently held its Math Night for students and parents. Prepared by third-, fourth- and fifth-grade teachers, the activities corresponded with the N.C. Standard Course of Study. Each student had the opportunity to play two games and then to take the game and pieces home.

Teachers in grades three, four, and five prepared hands on activities aligned with the N.C. Standard Course of Study to be enjoyed by students and their families.

During the event, teachers were on hand to guide instruction while students spent time together enjoying a learning activity with their family. Each student had the opportunity to play two games and then take the game and pieces home.
