Northern Nash High School had 10 girls to compete in winterguard competitions this year.

Northern Nash High School winterguard members, from front to back, left to right, are: Melinda Friemoth, Brittany Hicks, Megan McKirahan, Nikki Manning (Captain), Ivey Jean Hagwood, coach Bri Thomas, Brittany Adams, Crystal Reado, Casey Adcox, Chelsea Morris, Maya Sinno, and band director Erik Harris.

These girls competed and placed in competitions at Green Hope High School (second place), Clayton High School (second place) and Havelock High School (first place). The girls worked extremely hard and had many practices and weekend camps to prepare for the competitions. They competed with flags, rifles, and dance combinations. The girls have had a successful season and made Northern Nash proud. They were coached by Bri Thomas of East Carolina University and were under the direction of Erik Harris, band director.
