"It's time! It's time," I yelled. "It's time for my birthday!" My parents and I got dressed and dashed to the Bowling Center. It was my ninth birthday, September 23. And boy, was I excited!
My friend, Lillie, was already there. We started an early game, just the two of us. When everybody else got there, we stopped and played the real game.
I was thrilled that nobody complained about being last. I really wished that I would win, but one of my friends beat me by one point! I said, "Good for you." But just when these words came out of my mouth, my mom said, "Time to open presents!" I was so excited. I didn't know what I was going to get for my ninth birthday. We all scampered into the party room. I gasped! My cake was huge! It said, "Happy Birthday Ashley." The best part about the cake was that it was chocolate.
Next, I saw all the presents on the table! So guess what I did? I screamed! But right before that, my mom had the right sense to close the door. I got tons of stuff, like money, a Webkinz, fake nails, Super Text and a CD. I leaped all around the room! I was so happy!
After all that was through, I told all my friends how beautiful my presents were. They said, "Thank you." All my friends stared at the cake. "All right," I said. So we dug in. There were pieces taken out left and right! And for the grand finale, I stuck my whole head in my cake! Everybody laughed. Soon enough, it was time to go home. I said, "Bye" to my friends. "Wait until next year, it will be even more fun."
