I sleep, hushed in my serenity
My heart swells with the guilt
Of possible fiction
I itch, I ache, as day breaks
I wake in a pool of sweat,
My hair, my bed, they're all wet.
Condemned to an eternal guilt
I restore true reality, and I see my fate
The dream relinquished from my thoughts
I confess my doubt, for the atom bomb I dropped
was indeed a reality.
Sly Thieves
By Brenda Bello, third grade, OLPH Catholic School
One dark, stormy and cold night, the sly thieves went together to rob an important museum. They hid in the bushes until everyone left. They were quick. They had to turn the doorknob and push the door open because they were in a hurry. They loved to steal. They stole again and again. They had a good disguise to cover themselves. They never got caught until one unlucky day. They were furious. So, the police took them to jail and had no mercy. The judge brought them to justice. Everybody was happy that they were caught.
