The path of black history has traveled down a long, winding road that has brought changes to the world. Martin Luther King Jr. whose speech changed the world where blacks and whites came together as brothers and sisters.
Rosa Parks' contribution sparks a boycott in Montgomery. Refusing to sit in the back of the bus, she was arrested, and black people refused to ride the buses. They walked, rode bikes, and they stood together and demanded their rights to sit wherever they wanted on the bus. And won.
Many years have passed, and we have grown as a nation and even stronger as a people and yet being treated as equal is still a fight that we as a nation, and as a people haven't achieved openingly. No matter the color of one's skin, or their race, the dreams of Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Frederick Douglass and our forefathers, who fought for the rights, our rights for blacks, whites and all races.
We're all considered as one big family and with the sacrifice and strength of our proud, strong brothers and sisters, black or white, they can still change the world tonight, tomorrow and for the future of today.

My super, duper bowl is a turtle race. It is two turtles racing up and down hills, and through water.
Your water turtles will have lots of fun. You will have fun, too. Besides, the more the merrier. So come on and see our super, duper bowl each year.
Science or Spelling?
By Veronica Magallon, third grade, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School
Can you measure the
weight of a calf?
Or the volume of a
word in half?
Is a cloud or a
tennis ball matter?
How about a rope,
basketball
or ball for soccer?
You may hear a sharp
shout in football,
Or kids playing with a baseball.
Not to worry
All actions and things
have properties
We know by our senses.
