There's a place far, far away with animals no one has seen for 1,400 years. After 1,400 years a little girl named Sally, who was 7 years old decided to take a walk in the woods. When she got to the other side she saw something she had never seen before. She was shocked.

Sally brought a friend over to her house. Sally asked, "Do you want to walk in the woods?" Laura said, "Yes!" Laura was shocked too when she saw there were magic animals. They told everyone in town.

They all were shocked.

The Desert

Caitlin Martin

OLPH Catholic School, third grade

This summer

I went to the desert.

It was very dry.

I did not see

trees there.

There was no grass,

only sand.

I did not like

that hot, dry,

sandy place.

The Dog and the Kid

Josef Williams

OLPH Catholic School, third grade

Mike was number two in his class. One day he had too much homework so after school he let his dog eat it. He said, "Homework? To be or not to be."

Buzz Aldrin

By Katy Jaber

RMA, third grade

At my old house my friends and I played. We had fun playing after school. Their names are Nick and Josh. They're my friends.

We like doing stuff outside. It was cool! Every day we play together. We have fun. They are my best friends!

Sometimes we don't see each other. Sometimes we don't play together, and I'm sad. Sometimes we use weapons when we play.

When we play I don't feel lonely. We're very best friends. I wish I could play with them all the time.

Sometimes I see them at places. I can't wait until I see them! They live far away but they're still my friends.
