Dixon comes to Rocky Mount firm

Sarah Taylor Dixon has joined AXA Advisors LLC as a financial professional and will work at Roger G. Taylor & Associates in Rocky Mount.

Dixon will work with individuals and business owners to define their financial goals and provide strategies, products and services to help them work toward their objectives.

She entered the financial services industry in 2005 with Taylor & Associates, her family’s firm, as a client service coordinator. Her father, Roger G. Taylor, has owned the firm for 33 years.

“After having the hands-on experience working alongside my father ... I knew I wanted to spend my career doing the same and decided to follow in his footsteps,” Dixon said.

She is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and has served as a board member at large for the its Rocky Mount chapter. She chairs and is secretary of its Tom Hicks Scholarship Committee, which provides scholarships at Nash, Edgecombe & Wilson community colleges.

Dixon earned a bachelor’s in communication studies from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She holds her life and health insurance licenses and the FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations.

She lives in Rocky Mount with her husband, Philip.
