Rocky Mount Business Builders, a structured business-to-business referral organization, recently added a third group.

'We founded RMBB almost eight years ago,' said Clint Williams, its co-founder and group manager and the operations manager of LongStreet Wide-Format Printing. “The original group, Wednesdays, was so successful that it necessitated a Thursday group in 2009 and once again demand has led us to a third.”

The new group will meet each Thursday at the Rocky Mount DoubleTree Hotel, and will be led by the its sales manager, Linda Davis. The Wednesdays group meets at Golden Corral and the Thursdays group at Madison Seafood. All meetings run from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“We’re all about capitalism and profits at RMBB,” Williams said. “There is nothing wrong with protecting the environment or supporting nonprofits, but businesses need to generate revenues and have a profit for themselves before they can give back. We’re about making those revenues and profits happen.”

Said Davis: “We’re
already six members strong after our first meeting this past Tuesday. We look forward to having 25 to 30 members soon, just like the Wednesday and Thursday groups. We’re open to anyone interested in building relationship-based business referrals.”

Founded in August 2004, Rocky Mount Business Builders’ members range from recipients of the Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Award winners to nationally accredited specialists to home-office firms.

Annual dues are $25, and membership includes some attendance and participation rules.
