Kelly Lee of Rocky Mount has been promoted to regional associate by the N.C. Community Foundation, said its president and CEO, Jennifer Tolle Whiteside.

Lee’s responsibilities include working with individuals and agencies to establish permanent endowment funds to meet their charitable giving objectives. She also provides staff support to affiliated community foundation boards in the Edgecombe, Nash, Halifax, Northampton, Wayne and Wilson counties. She works out of Rocky Mount.

Lee has extensive experience in the business sector and is a certified events planner.

The foundation sustains almost 1,000 endowment funds established to provide long-term support of a broad range of community needs, nonprofit organizations and scholarships. It works with 59 affiliate foundations in 65 counties across the state, with an emphasis on rural and underserved areas.
