Perry to head bank branch

First South Bank has appointed Clay Perry as manager of its Benvenue Road branch in Rocky Mount.

Perry will be responsible for consumer lending, business development and overseeing branch operations.

He brings more than six years banking experience to the post, including work as service manager, personal banker, support specialist, financial service adviser and customer service representative.

Perry earned a bachelor’s degree in technology education N.C. State University and a master’s in business administration from Liberty University. A Spring Hope native, he and his family now live in Nashville.

Founded in 1902 and based in Washington, N.C., First South Bank has 26 branches, including five in Rocky Mount and one in Tarboro. It offers a variety of financial products and services, including a leasing company and securities trading through an affiliated broker/dealer.
