McGladrey LLP has promoted one member of its Rocky Mount staff and named a second to a specialist position.
Jennifer Worsley, previously an assurance manager, has been promoted to assurance director. In the new position, she oversees commercial clients’ audits, reviews and compilations. She has more than 10 years of experience in auditing health care, education and nonprofit industries.
A certified public accountant, Worsley earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from East Carolina University.
In civic life, she is a seven-year member of the Junior Guild of Rocky Mount and serves as the group’s treasurer and a member of its executive board. She also is active in Red Oak Baptist Church.
Worsley and her husband, Matthew, and their two children live in Red Oak.
Jimmy Matthews has been named a tax director, moving from his previous position as the office’s general director. In his new role, he oversees tax services for local clients.
A certified public accountant, Matthews has practiced for more than 20 years.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from N.C. State University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the N.C. Association of Certified Public Accountants.
In civic life, he serves as a deacon at Momeyer Baptist Church and a member of the board of directors of the Rocky Mount Area United Way. He also is a member of the Rocky Mount Kiwanis Club.
Matthews, his wife, Connie, and their three children live in Momeyer.
