Gerald P. Cox of Rocky Mount has been reappointed to the N.C. Medical Care Commission.
Cox is president and chief executive officer of Autumn Corp., which owns and operates skilled-nursing and rehabilitation facilities in North Carolina and Virginia that have more than 3,000 employees.
He also is past president of the N.C. Health Care Facilities Association.
Cox graduated from Morganton High School and Kings College in Charlotte.
In the community, he is on the board of directors of Branch Banking & Trust Co. and on the board of trustees for Nash Community College. He also has been awarded the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, one of the highest awards granted by the state of North Carolina. He attends First United Methodist Church in Rocky Mount.
