Chamber class targets customer service

The Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce will offer two half-day customer- and sales-retention workshops Thursday at the DoubleTree Rocky Mount motel, 651 N. Winstead Ave.

Bill Drury will be the speaker. Topics he will cover include preparing for turbulent changes, why customers leave companies and how to increase customer loyalty, make first impressions, communicate respectfully with clients, personalize service, handle difficult people and protect a company’s reputation on social networking websites.

The workshops run from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m.

Registration per workshop is $89 per person or $79 per person in groups of five or more.
