TARBORO – Five local companies made contributions to sponsor Edgecombe Community College’s recent fourth annual Beach Music and BBQ Festival.

Contributors and their levels of sponsorship were:

• Keihin Carolina System Technology – $1,000, gold sponsor.
• The Heritage Bank – $500, bronze sponsor.
• Carolina Eagle Distributing – $2,000, silver sponsor.
• BB&T – $500, bronze sponsor.
• Wells Fargo Bank – $500, bronze sponsor.

The April 21 event featured The Embers, Holiday Band and Chairmen of the Board.

The event supports the college’s scholarship program. A final count of the money raised is not available.
