Baseball
1. (NR) Stephen Williams, SS, Northern Nash: Williams and the Knights lost to Rocky Mount last week, but Williams scored twice and went 2-for-3. He didn’t have an unproductive at-bat – his lone put out was a sacrifice.
2. (NR) Jeremy Johnson, CF, Rocky Mount High: Johnson ignited the Gryphons’ first conference win with a lead-off home run, and then went 3-for-4 with a double as Rocky Mount won Monday at the Johnson County Easter Tournament.
3. (NR) Chase Roupp, P, Faith Christian:It’s rare to see a pitcher here, but Roupp has had too much success with his bat to be ignored. Faith Christian won twice this week as Roupp went 4-for-6 in two games.
4. (NR) Ryan Shearin, 3B, Southern Nash: Shearin went 2-for-3 in a loss to Tarboro last Thursday and on a slow week, Shearin’s season .379 average pushes him into the top four for now.
SP – Will Edwards, Rocky Mount High:Edwards didn’t allow an earned run and struck out five as Rocky Mount High won its first conference game. He also had three hits last Thursday.

Softball
1. (+2) Lesley Murray, LF, Nash Central: Murray’s bat has been hot. Her .387 season average, 12 runs scored and 12 hits are all team-highs. Her three doubles and 10 RBI tie for the team high.
2. (-1) Lindsey Sharpe, 3B, Nash Central: The Bulldogs are still undefeated in Big East Conference play. Sharpe is still a big reason why.
3. (-1) Jessica Ricks, CF, Northern Nash: If Northern Nash is going to challenge for the conference title after the break, Ricks will have to be a major part of that equation.
4. (NR) Mariah Gray, P, Southern Nash: The rule breaks quickly. Usually, it will be just one pitcher on the list, but Gray kept the Firebirds in the game last Thursday against Nash Central until the very end.
SP – Grayson Bass, Nash Central: Into the Easter break, Bass continues to shine as one of the top pitchers in the area. She struck out three in a one-run victory against Southern Nash.
