1. (--) Todd Gurley, Sr., RB, Tarboro: Gurley is making his closing argument with purpose. 10 carries, 187 yards and four touchdowns in the first half of Tarboro’s victory could win the case.

2. (+1) Jalen Hendricks, Sr., QB, Nash Central:Hendricks was the only reason the Bulldogs were in the game last week. He had one big fourth-down completion as well as 146 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

3. (+7) Terron Huffman, Sr., RB, Southern Nash: Please forgive us, Mr. Terror. Huffman had 209 on the ground and four touchdowns – all second half. He now has 10 yards per carry, 15 touchdowns and 1,240 yards for the season.

4. (--) Josh Sessoms, Sr., S, Southern Nash: Seven tackles is Sessoms’ second-lowest total of the season, but the Firebirds did hold Rocky Mount to only one touchdown.

5. (-3) Mason Hines, Jr., RB, Rocky Mount High: The Gryphons go-to back had one of his worst games of the season – 61 yards and a touchdown. We’ll see how he bounces back.

6. (+1) Tracey Coppedge, Sr., RB, Southern Nash: Overshadowed by his backfield mate, Coppedge had a solid 93 yards. He also scored Southern Nash’s lone first-half touchdown.

7. (-2) Gerald Hinton, Jr., RB, SouthWest Edgecombe: Hinton has been running his best when the Cougars need it the most. SouthWest Edgecombe won its conference finale last week.

8. (-2) Marcus Hicks, Sr., DL, Southern Nash: Hicks continues to fall after just one sack last week. It’s hard to make the grade in the Big East Conference as a defensive lineman, but Hicks’ name is out there.

9. (NR) Devonte Lloyd, Sr., RB, North Edgecombe: Lloyd is the biggest threat in the Warriors offense. He leads the team with 10 touchdowns and 9.1 yards per carry this season.

10. (NR) Greg Arrington, Sr., RB, Nash Central: Arrington ran for a hard 76 yards last week. He also scored once in the Bulldogs’ loss. He makes his much-awaited return to the Power 10.
