North Edgecombe’s season comes to an end

  • The Warriors’ season ended with a 46-0 loss at Plymouth on Friday night in the second round of the NCHSAA 1-A state playoffs. North Edgecombe faced a juggernaut in Plymouth, which has scored at least 38 points in its last 12 games.

  • But what a season for the Warriors. Each of the players, especially the seniors, should be congratulated. The group had an offseason meeting last spring and outlined what they wanted out of the 2007 season. North Edgecombe won six games, finished tied for second in the Tar-Roanoke Conference and earned coach Danny Ward his second playoffs win at the school.
