For the biggest school in the area to only have 100 or so people show up that is not connected to a member of the senior class is quite sad.
Eric Moore was the key tonight. The Nash Central fullback took control of the game when the Bulldogs could have folded, and ended up with 133 yards on 21 carries. Like normal, he did not get the big gains. He just got enough for another first down.
What would have happened if many of the Southern Nash seniors were four-year players, and not brought in for their senior seasons? This season might have gone differently, that’s for sure.
Early on, Firebirds quarterback Tim Brathwaite really struggled. Friday, he directed the offense, made adjustments at the line and picked up 90 yards on the ground. Again, if only he was a junior and not a senior.
