Rocky Mount residents Gentry Buchanan, U.S. Cellular direct sales support, and Misty Pridgen, U.S. Cellular, retail wireless consultant, have been accepted into the company's Leadership Institute of North Carolina (LINC).
The program teaches U.S. Cellular associates to accelerate their professional growth and become leaders in the organization. U.S. Cellular is expanding this team of future leaders by recruiting 25 new full and part-time sales and technical positions in eastern North Carolina. U.S. Cellular has been providing service in North Carolina since 1987.
"We've created a rewarding work environment by offering the training and leadership that empowers associates to really own the customer relationship on behalf of the company," said Marcel Bekers, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in the eastern North Carolina. "We're looking for top-notch people like Gentry and Misty who share our passion for serving customers and want to become leaders themselves."
LINC sessions teach leadership skills in competencies like high impact communication, making effective decisions, and developing others. This knowledge will provide him with the tools to lead other associates. The graduate's training and development will be reinforced through quarterly forums and mentorship programs.
