ROANOKE RAPIDS – Jordan Layne Bourland, a guitar, mandolin and banjo player at The Roanoke Rapids Theatre, announced the opening of his Studio of Music & Arts.
Bourland, along with several other musicians from The Roanoke Rapids Theatre, will be giving private lessons on guitar, mandolin, banjo, bass, Dobro, drums, piano, violin and voice. In addition to music lessons, art, theater and drama classes also will be offered.

When asked about the importance of his studio Jordan replied: "Passing on the gift of music is a passion of mine. My vision for this studio is to provide a source for education, fun and potential 'job training' for the Roanoke Valley."
Since Roanoke Rapids is on course to become the next big entertainment district in the US this studio seems like a natural fit.
Music and art lessons will be given on a one-on-one basis once a week. Theater classes will be given in a group setting once a week. Jordan Layne Bourland's – Studio of Music & Arts has highly-skilled teachers. As the area grows, they hope to place many of their students in music colleges, future theatres and area bands.
