GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — A trial is to resume in Greensboro for a man accused of killing an armored truck guard in 2008.

The News & Record of Greensboro reported that jury selection is set Monday in the death penalty trial of 30-year-old Isaam Mattaay Chaplin.

Prosecutors accuse Chaplin of ambushing 25-year-old Brink's security guard Juan Esteban Salado of Charlotte at a store in Greensboro.

A judge had halted jury selection last year after the discovery of the possible murder weapon. Neither police nor prosecutors will say whether the gun that was found was used to shoot Salado.

Jury selection is expected to take about a week. Officials expect the trial to take about three weeks.

Neither the prosecutor nor the defense attorneys would talk about the case.
