North Carolina man dies swimming in Bahamas

NASSAU, Bahamas (AP) — Police in Bahamas have identified a man who died while swimming in the island chain as a 79-year-old from North Carolina.

An official with the Royal Bahamas Police Force says the body of Henry Early Borger was recovered along the southern coast of the island of New Providence. Inspector Jeff Adderley said Friday that the cause of death has not been determined and that an autopsy is planned for early next week.

Borger was from Charlotte, North Carolina, and had been swimming with several other people when he died Wednesday.
