DENTON, N.C. (AP) — The N.C. Highway Patrol says a Denton man is charged with driving while impaired and felony death by motor vehicle after a traffic accident in which his 6-year-old daughter was killed.
The Asheboro Courier-Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/OKzciT ) that Rodney Harvey Foland was driving into his driveway when he turned into the path of an oncoming septic tank truck. The car was struck on the right side.
According to the patrol, Foland had taken his 4-year-old son, Tommy Dale Foland, to pick up his daughter, Rosalei Foland, at school on Friday. Tommy Foland is in Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem with what's described as life-threatening injuries
Rodney Foland also a charge of careless and reckless driving. He's jailed under a $50,000 bond, and doesn't have an attorney.

After reading this story: as a parent, I wonder how much more can the courts do to me. The man's family is totally, completely destroyed. What can the court do to top that one. I am not saying he doesn't need to be punished, he is now serving a life sentence.
I can not even image having to live with this,

Oh God! How can parents do such foolish things regarding their children? This father will NEVER get over this. Poor little girl. :( And the poor guy who drove the truck into the little girl? Oh God! This story is about misery all around. So many innocent lives will be affected by this father's poor deision.
